Avatar the videogame for Xbox 360 was released with stereoscopic 3D support through a variety of technologies. Provided viewers had the right equipment, they could play the game wearing
one of several 3D technologies (e.g. active shutter) and experience the effect.
I consulted on this title, as part of my responsibilities at Microsoft, to provide
feedback on the quality of the stereoscopic effect. In particular, the developer received access to a stereoscopic 3D calibration library I had created as well as prototypes which we demoed to Ubisoft/Fox executives and James Cameron.
