Throughout the development of the first iteration of Kinect, I worked with a number of different camera technologies from companies such as PrimeSense, 3DV, and Canesta. Microsoft eventually acquired 3DV and Canesta and my incubation work began to incorporate these alternate depth camera technologies. From 2009-2011 I worked on technologies to enable greater tracking precision, aided by improvements in the kinect 2.0. This work ultimately matured as the Xbox One for Kinect, and the Microsoft HoloLens project.
