This tool was designed for motif detection in upstream regions of yeast DNA. I co-wrote this tool for a project
course at my university. It runs a series of AI algorithms over a large sample set of genetic data and produces
a probability matrix used to identify best candidate k-mers from the set.
This type of research is common in the field of bioinformatics as a small step along the path to developing genetic therapies for diseases like cystic fibrosis and cancer.
